Epson and KURZ SCRIBOS Join Forces to Combat Counterfeit Printer Consumables

Epson has partnered with the KURZ SCRIBOS to deploy an advanced anti-counterfeiting and supply chain transparency solution across Southeast Asia, strengthening protection for its printer consumables business.

The collaboration addresses growing concerns about counterfeit printer ink products, grey-market activities, and the need for greater visibility across distribution networks.

At the core of the deployment are the patented TRUSTSEAL® and ValiGate® technologies from KURZ. ValiGate, in particular, comprises a QR code embedded with a patented copy-protection pattern that KURZ developed based on its knowledge of holographic security features.

TRUSTSEAL complements the system with visually distinctive security elements. By combining digital authentication with overt physical security features, the solution creates multiple layers of protection against counterfeit activity.
