Spectra Reports Strong H1 2025 Growth, Optical Material Sales Up 28%

Spectra Systems announced its first-half yearly performance for 2025, with revenues surging 54% to $34.97 million, up from $22.74 million in the same period last year.

The overall increase was driven primarily by revenue recognition from Spectra’s $39.6 million manufacturing contract with a central bank customer, milestone payments from its pre-production development programme, and exceptional performance from its gaming software security group. The EBITDA was up 101% to $15.76 million compared with $7.85 million in H1 2024.

One of the standout highlights was a 28% rise in sales of optical material for document and brand authentication.

These proprietary formulations, designed for document and brand authentication, are used in inks, coatings, and substrates such as polymer, paper, and textiles. They provide secure codes for a broad range of applications, including currency, tax stamps, passports, packaging, holograms, and labels.
