ZEISS and LG Chem Form Strategic Alliance for Photopolymer Films

ZEISS, a global leader in optics and photonics, has entered a strategic partnership with LG Chem to secure large-scale, sustainable production of advanced photopolymer films. These films are essential for next-generation Holographic Windshield Displays (HWD) in the automotive sector.

Under the agreement, LG Chem will supply photopolymer films to the ZEISS Microoptics Enabling Ecosystem, supporting the integration of these films into vehicle windshields. The first series production for automotive OEMs is planned for 2029.

The signing ceremony took place at LG Chem’s Yeouido Twin Towers, with senior executives from both companies, including ZEISS Microoptics’ Stephan Höfer and Dr Viktor Schütz, and LG Chem’s Ko Kyung-deok.
