KURZ SCRIBOS Debuts as New Face of Brand Protection

LEONHARD KURZ, a market leader in security and surface finishing technologies, has announced the integration of its subsidiary SCRIBOS, a digital platform provider which it acquired in 2021 (see HOT News August 2021), under a new unified brand identity – KURZ SCRIBOS.

According to KURZ, by pooling resources and innovation, KURZ SCRIBOS combines advanced optical security features, such as TRUSTSEAL® and TRUSTCOLOR®, with digital technologies like ValiGate® and SCRIBOS 360. ValiGate, in particular, comprises a QR code embedded with a patented copy-protection pattern, which SCRIBOS developed from its knowledge of holographic security features.

KURZ also offers five different types of sustainable security labels, called Eco Labels, which are equipped with the company’s TRUSTSEAL visual security elements.

KURZ SCRIBOS supports global brands across various industries, including automotive, chemicals, spirits, food, cosmetics, and luxury goods. Among its key clients are Stellantis, Nivea, Bosch, Côtes du Rhône, Ligue Nationale de Rugby, and Fédération Française de Football. Recently, TotalEnergies Lubrifiants partnered with SCRIBOS to implement its ValiGate® Direct Print solution on lubricants.
