A New Unified Force in Security and Brand Protection
Crane NXT recently announced the launch of a new brand identity: Crane Authentication. This unified brand consolidates the strengths of De La Rue Authentication (the recently finalised acquisition made in May 2025), the Smart Packaging assets of TruTag Technologies, and OpSec Security (purchased last year).
Crane NXT now comprises two segments: Security and Authentication Technologies (which includes Crane Currency and Crane Authentication) and Crane Payment Innovations. This restructuring aims to enhance the company’s ability to serve its customers while creating significant value through the implementation of the Crane Business System.
OpSec and De La Rue Authentication are prominent providers of holographic solutions, among other technologies, focused on brand protection, tax stamps, ID documents, and various high- security applications.
With this new branding, Crane is strengthening its position in the growing authentication technologies market, which it recently entered.
