Giriraj Foils and Oberthur Join Hands to Bring Micro-Optics to India

Giriraj Foils (IOTA member), a well-respected name in India’s high- security films, stamping foils and laminates, has partnered with François-Charles Oberthur group, a global leader in banknote printing, security solutions and technologies, to deliver micro-optics and other advanced authentication solutions tailored for the Indian market.

The partnership was announced at the ASPA Traceability and Authentication Forum in New Delhi earlier this month.

Under the agreement, both organisations have established two new entities – Giriraj Oberthur Security Features India Pvt Ltd (GOSFIPL) and Giriraj Bioguard India Pvt Ltd (GBIPL).

GOSFIPL will focus on security printing solutions, including Anima™ (micro-lens security thread), Pulsar™ (micro-optic security thread), Avalon™ (UV security ink), Ultra+™ (UV varnish), along with Oberthur’s Capto™ (micro-optic) technology, developed through its subsidiary Rolling Optics, for brand protection.
