Luminit Strengthens Technical Leadership to Advance Optics
Luminit, a California-based provider of innovative light management solutions for the lighting display, automotive, biomedical, entertainment, and machine vision industries, has made a number of key senior appointments.
Baeddan Hill is the new Director of Materials Engineering. He joins from DigiLens Inc where he advanced highefficiency surface relief gratings (SRGs) and integrated them into AR waveguide products. Before DigiLens, he researched nanomaterials at Innova Dynamics and San Francisco State University.
In his new role at Luminit, Baeddan will lead innovations in polymer, photopolymer, and electrochromic film technologies, advancing Luminit’s holographic and embossed surface relief lithography, scaling polymer holographic film manufacturing, and developing encapsulation technologies for nextgeneration Smart Glass solutions.
He will also work closely with the VP of Manufacturing and industry partners to accelerate New Product Introduction (NPI) for automotive windshield film products and lead the early-stage development of electrochromic film technology.
