AI System Detects Forged Documents with Holographic Protection

Smart Engines, an AI developer, has unveiled an enhanced version of its AI system designed to detect forged documents, with a particular emphasis on holographic protection. The new technology allows for the rapid extraction of data from passports and ID cards while simultaneously verifying their authenticity. What sets this system apart is its ability to perform document verification in real-time video streams.

The significance of this advancement lies in its ability to detect holographic elements, which have long been considered a pinnacle of document security. These optically variable devices (OVDs) change their appearance based on viewing angles and lighting conditions, making them notoriously difficult to counterfeit. However, Smart Engines’ AI has been trained to identify holograms in live video streams, thereby ensuring a higher level of security and accuracy in document verification processes.
