When Holograms Disappoint

It used to be that poor lighting was the major cause of disappointment when it came to viewing holograms. But as the definition of holography has been stretched to include heightened reality displays, so have the number of reasons to be disappointed.

Not everyone wants to be a hologram

US Country and Western singer, Dolly Parton, has said that she’s uninterested in becoming an artificial intelligence hologram because she doesn’t want to keep her soul ‘grounded’ on earth.

Speaking at a press conference to promote her new album, Parton was asked if she’d ever considered creating a show using a virtual version of herself, as done by Abba in their Abba: Voyage concert.

‘I think I’ve left a great body of work behind,’ she said. ‘I have to decide how much of that high-tech stuff I want to be involved [with] because I don’t want to leave my soul here on this earth.
