TÖNNJES Presents New License Plate Authentication Solution with SICPA

TÖNNJES, in cooperation with SICPA, is introducing OPALINE®, an optical mid and long-range authentication solution for secure licence plates. TONNJES showcased the solution at ID4Africa this month.

The technology enables authorities to verify the authenticity of vehicle license plates remotely. OPALINE combines colour-shifting and polarisation effects that can be checked by the naked eye and validated using simple tools or camera systems. Integrated into Automated Number Plate Recognition systems, the solution supports secure and efficient authentication in traffic enforcement, tolling, parking and border or access control.
