Evolution from the Eye of Origination: Final Highlights from the IOTA Awards

The International Optical Technologies Association (IOTA) announced the winners of its inaugural Excellence in Optical Technologies Awards 2025 at the Optical & Digital Document Security™ (ODDS) Conference in Warsaw, Poland (see HOT News, September 2025).

The awards recognised excellence across seven categories: Best Disruptive Technology, Best Innovation in Optically Variable Technologies (OVT), Best Integrated Technology / Document Security Application, Best Product Security Application, Best Decorative / Packaging Product and Best Origination.

In addition, the Lifetime Achievement Award honoured individuals whose careers have made a lasting contribution to holography, optical security, and the global fight against counterfeiting.

In previous editions, we reviewed the winners and shortlisted entries across disruptive technologies, OVT innovation, decorative and packaging solutions, product security applications, and integrated technology and document security applications.
