XV Anniversary Conference on Photonics and Information Optics

The XV Anniversary International Conference on Photonics and Information Optics commenced on 28 January 2026 at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in Moscow. Organised in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences, the three-day event gathered researchers, engineers, and academics working in photonics and digital optics.

Held at MEPhI’s campus on Kashirskoye Shosse, the conference drew participants from leading Russian research institutions, including Moscow State University, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), ITMO University, and the Russian Quantum Centre, along with international collaborators. Over 300 scientific reports were scheduled across various sessions.

Among the topics discussed at the conference, holography and optical information processing were a key focus. These subjects were closely linked to digital optics and the synthesis of diffractive optical elements (DOEs), reflecting the growing role of holographic techniques in advanced imaging, data processing and authentication technologies.
