Awards Recognise Importance of Optical Security

With its charming riverside setting, vibrant cultural scene, and excellent public transport, Basel hosted the 21st edition of High Security Printing™ EMEA (HSP EMEA). Organised by Reconnaissance, HSP EMEA provides the region with a forum for high-security documents, where new products, technical developments, challenges, and solutions are presented and shared for the benefit of government departments, central banks, state and commercial security printers, paper mills, suppliers and developers of security features, systems integrators, and other interested parties.

One of the conference’s highlights is the presentation of the annual Regional Banknote and ID Documents of the Year awards, which included five categories for banknotes and three in ID Documents (passport, ID card, and series).

This year, almost all of the winning categories featured optical innovations.
