Latest Banknote Technologies Showcased in Underwater World

Combining their knowledge of banknote security, Hueck Folien and Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW) have developed and produced a new test note with a beautiful underwater theme: ‘Corals’.

Showcasing the latest technological possibilities for banknote security features, Corals combines the expertise of PWPW in banknote printing and special inks with Hueck Folien’s security stripe technology.

The test note displays Hueck Folien’s Safe2®, 15mm security stripe, applied over a transparent window by a Pasaban foil application machine.

The stripe combines perfectly registered metalised aluminium and copper elements with nano-engineered technology. A rainbow 3D bas-relief effect adds colour to the stripe depending on the incidence of light, while a finely detailed coral image is displayed inside the window using a white 3D bas-relief effect. When the note is turned or tilted, seaweed, corals, and rising air bubbles also become visible in three dimensions.
