IHMA Membership Open to All OVD Suppliers

Following the launch of the International Hologram Manufacturers Association’s expanded Security Image Register (SIR) in January, a proposal was made to extend membership criteria and amend the IHMA articles of association to encompass all security OVD (optical variable device) suppliers. This has now been unanimously adopted.

Originally open mainly to hologram suppliers, last year the IHMA board extended membership criteria to include providers of material and equipment as well as finishers and converters. Associate membership was also redefined to allow research organisations and trade associations to join.

With the expansion of the register and the inclusion of non- holographic optical technologies, the SIR was made available to all manufacturers of secure OVDs. Consequently, the board felt it was fitting to make full membership available to all secure OVD suppliers.
